This is the final cover design for my Advanced Computer Graphics class's illustration project. We weren't required to illustrate or lay out the cover -- only the inside spread for our article -- but I had this extra piece of art, and I felt that the relationship between the cover and the internal design made the presentation much stronger. I created the cover layout from scratch using an existing copy of The Economist as a reference. All of the art for this project was painted in Photoshop.
sounds like an awsome project, lots of times looking through magazines or adds I can't help but think of how it could be visually improved. nice layout tooo!
Thank you so much! To be honest, as far as layout goes, The Economist is not very imaginative -- I just followed their established style. It was a hell of a time finding the right font, though.
nice layout tooo!
